Actually, Nassau/Paradise Island is known for being very gay UNfriendly. The locals there protested at the port when Rosie&#;s R Family cruise stopped there. Apparently the protestors were very hateful to people coming off the boat and into town.
In terms of personal experience, we didn&#;t really run into any problems in Nassau when we were on the Disney cruiselast year (we spent less than an hour in Nassau, though) We also took a cab over to Atlantis and walked around. We spent about $25 in the casino, went through the aquarium, and strolled around the resort. It&#;s nice enough, I guess, though VERY expensive.
