A cruise ship passenger found a veiled camera that had filmed over people changing or using the bathroom. A man was arrested after the FBI said video showed him setting it up.
A man was arrested Wednesday after officials say he set up a hidden camera in a public cruise ship bathroom and recorded more than people, including minors, before another passenger spotted it, court records showed.
The incident occurred on a seven-day Royal Caribbean cruise that verb sail from Miami, Florida, on April 29, according to the criminal complaint compiled by an agent with the FBI. The Harmony of the Seas ship was arrange to stop in Saint Martin, Puerto Rico, and the Bahamas.
About a daytime after departure, while the ship was in international waters, a hidden camera with WiFi capabilities was placed in a public bathroom on the ship's top deck, seal to a surfing simulator and a bar, the complaint said. Photos included in the complaint showed the compact black camera as well as where it was concealed, an open area above the inside of the bathroom door where part of the wall had been removed for repairs.

Several days later, another passenger noticed the hidden camera and reported it to Harmony's crew. Security personnel searched the bathroom and found and seized the hidden camera. According to the criminal complaint, security personnel found a Micro SD card with several hours' worth of video files inside. The FBI has posted a form online seeking potential victim information.
